Pragmatic web development:
Users often blame the sites and not the browsers for the site errors. They don’t care how sites are built if they work properly. The construction of the site must be solid and follow standards and conventions, verify execution, and openly indicate limitations. Read and understand your site problems and avoid placing blame on tools, the web medium or users. To produce a good website the following rules can be followed.
1. Browser best practices:
• Ignore the problem and assume everybody has the most common browser.
• Warn the user that the site requires a new browser, but leave it at that.
• Automatically detect and update pages to suit the browser and technology being used.
• Allow the user to self-profile and choose a version of the site that suits his/her browser or situation.
• Degrade seamlessly to user’s capabilities.
2. HTML best practices:
Write pages using standard HTML 4 or XHTML 1.0 or as much as the browser can support.

• Use meta tags liberally
• Use consistent naming conventions.
• Use HTML templates.
• Use the correct authoring tool for the job.
4. CSS best practices:
• Follow the CSS standards and validate rules.
• Test CSS rules very carefully.
• Consider HTML usage.
• Include CSS carefully.
• Address CSS browser issues.
5. Miscellaneous CSS best practices:
• Considering using relative measurements.
• Consider usage alternative style sheets.
• Provide printer style sheets.
• Match CSS selector cases.
• Use id and class rules properly.
• Comment, format, and organize CSS rules.
• Compress style sheets.
6. Web programming best practices:
Consider using both client-side and server –side technologies in a site, rather than just one or the other.
Server-side programming best practices:
• All forms of server-side programming share one common quality: control.
• Create a capacity plan when using server-side technologies.
• Carefully monitor responsiveness of server-side technologies.
• Use complied languages or sever-side performance.
• Pregenerate or at least cache server-scripted pages if possible.
• Try to separate HTML markup from script logic.
• Use a centralized directory for server-scripts, particularly cgl-bin programs.
• Avoid showing file extensions of server-side programs.
• Avoid complex URLs if possible.
• Avoid exposing back-end information in diagnosis and errors.
• Carefully check incoming data.
• Avoid running command line programs via a script.
JavaScript best practices:
1. Consider carefully how java script is included in pages.
2. Use linked scripts.
3. Focus on using common event handlers.
4. avoid event handlers if possible

Female Professional Champion Muay Thai Fighter Christine Toledo Brings Home Victory From China
Official Sponsor Bizwala Congratulates and Welcomes Toledo Back Upon Arrival November 20, 2008 - Las Vegas, NV - Local Las Vegas Female Professional Champion Muay Thai Fighter Christine Toledo, who is officially sponsored by Bizwala, arrived back to the United States with a trophy in hand from earning a victory this past weekend in Zhengzhou, China on November 15, 2008. In a K-1 rules bout against a top Chinese female fighter, Toledo took the win.
Jonathan Remund, President of Bizwala commented by saying, “We are excited about Christine’s win. She’s proven to many that she is a world class competitor. We take pride in sponsoring her and we support her all the way.”
Toledo entered the ring with a record of 13 wins and 2 losses. Her Chinese opponent came into the fight with a record of 18 wins and 3 losses. The two were fairly matched by record and experience level before battling each other in a bout scheduled for three rounds. Toledo and her Chinese opponent were contracted at 52 kg (114.4 lbs).
Of five Americans to represent the U.S. fight team, Toledo was the only female fighter. In the bout between Toledo and her Chinese opponent, Toledo had placed a devastating knee to her opponent’s midsection in the first few seconds in round one which resulted in a knock down. As the referee counted, the audience did not expect her to continue, but at the last second of the eight-count, she stood up with determination to finish the fight.
The Chinese fighter looked to be hurt through the remaining minutes of the round. After getting back up, it seemed the Chinese fighter’s goal was to stay at bay from Toledo and to go the distance until the end of the bout by circling the ring, moving backwards and escaping from Toledo’s clinch and knee techniques. Toledo was the aggressor throughout the fight. The Chinese fighter used countering technique and attempted several times to land powerful side kicks, but Toledo’s footwork, timing, and countering skills showed she was the better fighter that night.
“My opponent was very tough, strong and fast. I was a little frustrated with her style as she was “slippery” so to speak – I mean every time I came in, she was out. And she delivered a few fast kicks without me knowing they were coming. But it was expected that she would make me work to make this fight mine. I trained for her appropriately and the strategy and technique I worked on with my trainer was effective,” said Christine Toledo.
Toledo adds, “Even though I won this fight, I feel I could have done so much more. It was a different fight for me with rules I’m not used to. I prefer full Muay Thai rules, but I wanted to take on the challenge regardless and experience a great opportunity to fight on Chinese turf.”
Toledo won the bout by unanimous decision and improved her record to 14 wins and 2 losses. According to the event promoter and staff, Toledo made history by being the first female from a foreign country to win over a Chinese female from the same league. They were pleased with her performance and have already invited her back for future events.
“We welcome Christine back home to the United States and look forward to her continued success,” says Jonathan Remund.

Advantages of using CSS in web design
CSS stands for Cascading Style Sheets it is a simple mechanism language that allows users for adding style to structured Web documents. Example – layout, fonts, colors, spacing and aural cues. CSS is a breakthrough in Web design as it allows web designing developers to organize the style and layout of multiple Web pages all at once and change to the new markup which makes sense and then redefine it to fit web design.
Through CSS, Web designing can be controlled by displaying the characteristics of a site from one central document. With CSS, web designing can be established by creating attractive pages with much flair. CSS Web Design provides web sites for businesses and organizations who want to use the internet to expand and develop their business. To design web pages with CSS, you need to know the standards and advantages to understand how browsers' attribute and respond on the Web design results. CSS include a wider variety of stylistic capabilities to meet the necessities of web design developers; this grant the designer more control over site appearance.
Advantages of CSS
CSS express how to display (Inline style) HTML elements
The HTML documents can be displayed using different output styles. HTML tags were originally designed to define the content of a document. Cascading Styles sheets define how HTML elements are to be displayed. Style sheets bring genuine leading and sophisticated margination to the web designing.
CSS allows for smaller file sizes
Cascading Style Sheets save bandwidth, diminish the overall amount of code in web pages and vastly reduces the size of your files when compared to old-style markup.
External Style Sheets can save you a lot of work
CSS can save you a lot of work when designing a website. Most modern browsers now support CSS so it’s safe and easy to use.
External Style Sheets are stored in CSS files
CSS allows external style sheet to control the layout and web design of the whole site. The best way is generally to use an external CSS file; it controls many different elements throughout the entire site instead of defining the same elements again and again in all of the HTML files.
Web Designing is normally stored in Style Sheets
Web design for the entire web is a thoughtful appearance for design issues and how they differ from designing for the web page through CSS. Smaller Web site web designing companies are now able to make web design accessible to both smaller companies and individuals further mounting the growth of the web development. CSS allows web design authors to move much of that information to a separate style sheet resulting in significantly simpler HTML language.
CSS allows you greater control of page structure
The main ability of CSS is to control the page structure without needing to use presentational markup. Using CSS you can hide content from certain browsers in certain situations and multiple style definitions will cascade into one. It explains to create two and three column float based layouts and horizontally center a design on a page.
Cascade Style sheets also offer much more flexibility in terms of the presentation effects it provides. Such as margin, color, border, background and much more. CSS develop strategies for maximizing forward and backwards browser compatibility. There are plenty of exposure of web design and testing tools that can aid in the creation of attractive, standards-abiding documents.
