On the other hand, PPC, or pay-per-click, is an internet marketing technique that makes use of the sponsored links on the search engines results page. Basic Guidelines for Writing SEO Articles

  • Know what keywords you will use before you begin.  Keyword research may be necessary.  A good tool is https://adwords.google.com/.
  • Choose an appropriate topic that can be tied to your primary keyword.
  • While you may want to wait until the article is written before giving it a title, the title should include your primary keyword but be short and pack a punch.  It needs to draw attention so people will read it and click through to your site.
  • The content should offer advice, educate and information.  It should not be a sales pitch.  It should have a purpose, be an interesting read and be catered to your audience.
  • Thread your keywords throughout the content but keep the readership intact.  Your text should still flow, not choppy.  Use 3-5% keyword density.  This relates to every 100 words, so a keyword should be used 3 to 5 times per every 100 words, if possible.
  • The first and last paragraph should start and end with the primary keyword.
  • Use bolded subtitles within the article that include keywords.
  • Use bullet points that include some of the keywords.
  • If you are able to use anchor text (a clickable link) in your article, use keywords in the anchor text.
  • Keep your article between 350 and 500 words.
  • Keep all sales type content in the boilerplate only, where your authorship, company name and contact information will go.  Use a keyword coded link (anchor text) in the boiler plate as well.  Being that some article sites only allow for a link to be placed in the boilerplate, this may be the only click you get, so it’s important it be keyword coded.

The Value of a Website Maintenance Team

Website design is complete only when website maintenance is done. Designing, hosting and programming are just a few tasks needed to make an ideal website. Maintenance is important because websites are unstable and crash at any moment. Website updates are needed to make improvements and keep the information relevant for returning visitors.

Common problems include code vulnerabilities, non-working links, misspellings and wrong titles. Common website maintenance tasks include putting in fresh webpages and checking to see if the pages are aligned right and functioning well. Professionals also check the size and quality of the images. Some images are not appropriate or viewable. If the resolution becomes problematic, designers must make the right changes. Another task is to look for missing pages and pictures. All of these problems must be found and corrected immediately so that no further problems occur.

Without a devoted support team on the side, the site breaks down easily and ruins the credibility of the owner. Also, some sites are harder to control than others. E-commerce store owners handle a large number of orders and exchanges that need to go through properly. If orders do not go through, loyal customers are lost or never gained in the first place. People have to use the order forms correctly, too.

Many large, prominent companies have in-house departments that deal with website updates. Small and medium-sized companies usually cannot afford special departments. In their cases, they must find outsourcing solutions for all of their maintenance duties. There are many affordable individuals and companies that maintain sites.

Proper research is needed to find the right provider. Unqualified workers just cause more problems. An open line of communication must stay open when a support service is used. These professionals should have the same amount of expertise and experience that designers have. The whole process involves finding the most reliable provider.
